I have photographed and created art in sacred spaces all over the planet, each space unique to its region, unique to its icons, and unique to its emotions. Painting in these spaces for me is very gratifying, it is where I learned to listen to my creative voice but more importantly, it is where I learned to trust my creative voice.

Mixed media arts are the perfect platform for my chaotic mind space. I use mixed media to tell stories and to expand my creative energy to its fullest. I am an art journalist, iconographer, and mixed media artist who prefers to live life quietly on the mountain while expressing myself through my art with a myriad of textures, color and a very vivid imagination!

Silence also tells a story, a more authentic one because in silence we hear our true voice, the one we learn to listen for, the one that nudges you to the tube of vibrant paint instead of the beige.

Silence is sacred, it’s also liberating and allows those of us who struggle to verbally “use our words”, to pour all of those thoughts and emotions onto the canvas in a very gratifying way. Silence is grace, and from a place of grace we should allow ourselves to be creative and enjoy the process, wherever your art journey may lead you.

My studio, Atelier Regina, is located in Cloudcroft, NM where I am happy to share creative energy with an amazing studio assistant, Jen Escobar, a super creative soul. We are 9000 feet above stress level and loving life.
